Prohibited and Restricted Items

Care Runners is committed to providing safe, reliable, and legally compliant delivery services. Customers may not use Care Runners to transport any item that is prohibited by applicable laws, regulations, or these Terms and Conditions.

By booking a delivery with Care Runners, the Customer confirms that the parcel does not contain any prohibited or restricted items, including but not limited to:

• Dangerous or hazardous goods, including explosives, fireworks, flammable substances, chemicals, gases, and corrosive materials.
• Paints, adhesives, solvents, fuels, or other hazardous liquids.
• Firearms, ammunition, explosives, knives, swords, or any other weapons.
• Illegal drugs, narcotics, controlled substances, tobacco products, alcohol, or prescription medication where transport is prohibited by law.
• Live animals, insects, or livestock.
• Cash, coins, banknotes, precious metals, negotiable instruments, payment cards, cheques, securities, or other financial instruments.
• Perishable goods requiring temperature-controlled transport, unless expressly agreed to by Care Runners.
• Personal belongings of exceptional sentimental or irreplaceable value.
• Plants, seeds, or agricultural products restricted by law.
• Pornographic, offensive, or illegal material.
• Animal skins, fur, ivory, animal organs, endangered species, or products prohibited under environmental or wildlife protection laws.
• High-value items such as artwork, antiques, jewellery, precious stones, gold, silver, collectibles, or luxury goods, unless specifically accepted by Care Runners in writing.
• Any item that may endanger the safety of Care Runners' drivers, customers, the public, or property.
• Any goods that are illegal to possess, transport, or distribute under South African law.

If a Customer tenders any prohibited or restricted item for delivery, Care Runners reserves the right to refuse collection, stop the delivery, return the item to the sender, or hand the item over to the relevant authorities where required by law.

The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold Care Runners, its directors, employees, drivers, contractors, and agents harmless against any claims, losses, damages, fines, penalties, legal costs, or expenses arising from the transportation or attempted transportation of prohibited or restricted items.

The Customer shall remain fully responsible for all costs, damages, delays, liabilities, loss of income, regulatory penalties, and legal expenses incurred by Care Runners as a result of any breach of this clause.
